No Hats No Hoods - London to Addis
No Hates No Hoods is one of the most recognizable names in the Grime scene for all the right reasons. It’s an independent label that’s been around for nearly 15 years now and has been releasing music tied to everybody we know in the scene. P Money, Rude Kid, Tempa T, Spooky and recently a lot of The Square.
This album is just pure instrumentals. Some of the biggest names in grime production are on this and a heap of producers I’ve never heard of. They’ve all tried to use samples from traditional Ethiopian instruments in their beats for this album and there’s some wild variety in here.
This is a must have for people who enjoy grime instrumentals. There really isn’t a bad track on this and there’s 23 of them. I’ve been rinsing Dexplicit’s “Lion King”.
Super sick release.
